I don't appreciate the accusation, Julia. From you or Julia Kaplan 1 through 5. If it's unwarranted, why would this independent source (I have no idea who this is or that it existed until someone else alerted me) choose all 5 of my posters as examples of the ones they liked? Could it just be that they're original ideas and good design?
I did not vote for any designs twice, nor did I sandbag other people's work in order to raise mine up (like someone did to nearly all of mine.) So I'm proud of the fact they they are well received despite receiving undeserved multiple 1 votes trying to bring them down.
Anyway, why is this such a big deal to you? I wasn't aware this was a competition. There just happens to be a rating system, which as far as I'm aware, only allows you to vote once. The only competition that matters happens tomorrow and perhaps you should focus your 'concern' on that.

It's not jealousy, though I appreciate your query. I have witnessed (with much pleasure, I might add) this site's unfolding, and the obviously stellar designs (MAFMove's works, for instance) accrue their scores slowly, over a period of several days. Robot's group of entries seemed to climb quickly, and then within a day were all at the top of the chart. If my assumptions are wrong, and this is simply graphic design support, I certainly stand corrected.

I think all of dumbrobot's designs are brilliant in concept, as well as design. That's why I, along with a lot of others, rated these highly. I find it very odd that all of the site's designs seem to be rated low. I don't understand the point of that, since this is a forum for supporting designers, not a contest.

Julia: First off, the words 'obviously stellar' are obviously subjective. We have vastly differing opinions in what constitutes stellar poster design. To me, those works you cited are fine as inspirational illustrations (which seem to be co-opted from photographs) but are not strong political posters in the traditional sense (see Paul Rand. Saul Bass. Lester Beall. McKnight Kauffer. Herbert Matter. Cassandre. Jean Carlu. Muller-Brockmann for stellar poster design). I wish to take nothing away from that work as I admire it on its own merit nor am I trying to put myself in the pantheon of the designers aforementioned. To me, an effective poster is simple, bold, clean and graphic.
As for the scores, I will let my work speak for itself and can do little more. I do know that the posters have gotten positive reviews and press outside of this site (a friend who's connected to the campaign sent them to many people) but I don't like to make assumptions.
Also: This poster here has thirteen 1 votes. 13! Now that's what I call curious.
